Why we need you

TSH is about to embark on a period of hyper growth terms of number – and geographical spread of locations. The team is looking for a retail and merchandise operations intern for a period of at least 6 months to start as soon as possible

The team is looking for an intern, keen to be a part of a team that facilitates future changemakers in their journey. This learning opportunity will allow you to contribute to the further success of a pioneering and disruptive hotel concept, changing the way hospitality is perceived today.


What you’ll be doing to make it happen

  • Purchase and deliver retail and merchandising products
  • Manage and maintain product inventory through stock counts, minimising overstock and analysing stock positions in all locations
  • Process all products coming into the stockroom
  • Run stock count reports and process them in the system
  • Keep track of our space and capacity plans of stores to optimise the product mix
  • Create weekly sales overviews vs. cost
  • Assist with creating a seasonal visual assortment for department usage
  • Work in close collaboration with a wide variety of stakeholders in an international environment 


    Requirements

    Who are you?     

    You will both be a dedicated student as well as a valued TSH team member. You will have up-close, behind the scenes involvement at The Student Hotel  which you’ll never find in a class room!


    Background:

    • Must be an enrolled student (MBO/HBO), preferably studying retail, commerce and/or design
    • Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken), other European languages are considered an advantage
    • Strong analytical skills, you must be experienced working with numbers and Microsoft Excel
    • Available to travel to our other international locations and work flexible hours if requested
    • Legally permitted to work and live in the Netherlands/ European Union
