Why do we need you? 

The ultimate goal of our people team is to have happy, healthy, performing and growing team members. As a HR Manager you are responsible for professionalising, implementing and safeguarding the people policies for our HQ in Amsterdam. As well as all TSH locations in the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, you are responsible for approximately 500 team members.


In 2020 our focus with the full team is to build on our people fundaments. We are running some interesting, impactful projects at the moment such as the implementation of scalable people tech (HRIS) as well as the development and implementation of a reward framework. All to prepare for the expansion within Europe that you can be part of!


Next to participating in these projects and building on the fundaments, you will pro-actively support the management teams and team members in all key areas (onboarding, performance management, payroll and contract management, leave and absence, legal, compliance and inclusion and diversity). 


You will manage a small team, work closely together with our local advisors and partner up with the HR Manager for Southern Europe as well as the Recruitment and L&D teams. In this role, you report to the Head of HR and Engagement. 

 

How will you make it happen?

  • Set objectives for the Northern Europe people team and track progress
  • Develop, revise and monitor overall people strategies, systems, tactics and procedures
  • Support current and future needs through the development, engagement, inspiration and motivation of talent
  • Discuss team members’ career development paths with managers
  • Monitor and report on people metrics
  • Support in implementing our new people system (HRIS)
  • Maintain our newly implemented reward framework
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage performance management
  • Contact with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as temporary team members, payroll firms, or relocation services
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
  • Manage a team.

 

Requirements

Who are you?  

You are an engaging personality and you love to work with people, you find it easy to build relationships with everyone and you have solid people management experience. Others call you extremely organised and accurate – you enjoy creating order and structure. You keep your head cool and stay on top of the game in challenging situations. 

 

Your background  

  • Ideally minimum five years’ experience in human resources in multiple functions such as recruiting, L&D, compensation in guest or customer-oriented industry
  • Academic level thinking level with minimum a bachelor’s degree in human resource management or similar
  • Thorough knowledge of the Dutch labour law and capability to adapt to other legislations
  • Bilingual in Dutch and English essential – any other languages are an advantage (German).
