Why do we need you? 

You’re the one who defines what our Vienna restaurant will become — and you aim high.
As our F&B Manager you know
 what goes on in the restaurant, bar and meeting & events - even if you aren’t present on location. 

This new flagship location has it all going on: 

  • we have our Commons, Restaurant and Bar,
  • we have our New Espresso Bar, that is open for fantastic fresh coffee and don't foget about our food thats made every day fresh on location, eith to sit in or to go, it's your choice. 
  • our new lobby bar is there for our meeting and event guests, or for that ideal breakfast stop watching the world go by, before check-out.

What will you be doing
Your 
primary responsibility is to the manage your Supervisors by providing the necessary support ensuring a memorable and enjoyable overall experience for everyone who walks through our doors. That being said, this is definitely a (there we go) hands-on job! So no hiding in back-office, you're the true restaurant on-the-floor leader!


You’re dedicated to maintaining high quality service and products, you have a keen eye for monitoring labour costs and seeking out efficiency improvement and, above all, you’re a true people person — a natural leader who takes pride in recruiting, training and developing a top-tier staff. 


The bar will be open for 24 hours throughout the weekends, so this means a lot of (late) hours of fun and excitement!

 

How will you contribute to this? 

  • Ensuring all resources are available to staff to enable them to perform their tasks in a proper and timely manner;
  • Taking part in the service — informing guests of the menu, assisting with their drink and dinner choices, taking orders, communicating with the kitchen, preparing drinks and simple snacks and serving of dishes;
  • Monitoring accurate execution of HACCP guidelines, fire safety policy and working conditions; 
  • Setting up yearly restaurant plan and corresponding budget; 
  • Monitoring costs of suppliers while identifying opportunities to reducee costs;
  • Responsible for recruitment of talent; 
  • Responsible for the proper onboarding of temporary and permanent staff; 
  • Arranging for training and development opportunities for staff; Scheduling of staff according to business and staff needs - including review and approval or denial of leave requests;
  • Responsible for proper performance management of all restaurant staff - including goal setting, mid-year & year-end review conversations.

You take ownership of the full restaurant (opening, operations, marketing) supported by our awesome HQ and in collaboration with the Vienna Hotel Manager. 


Background:

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in a managerial role at a similar level restaurant;
  • Multi-faceted F&B experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Vienna F&B market
  • HACCP certified;
  • Strong knowledge of wine and food according to market standards;
  • Excellent knowledge of restaurant, bar and banqueting service standards.
  • Native German who speaks English fluently

What do we offer you?

Compensation of the job will be between €4000 - €4.500 a month on fulltime basis.
