Why do we need you?

As Consolidation & Reporting Specialist, you’ll contribute to the consolidation & IFRS reporting process of the group. You will be hands on in assisting in the preparation of the group consolidation, as well as IFRS compliance position papers for acquisition accounting and other relevant key topics under IFRS. You’ll also play a fundamental role in building and maintaining strong relationships with the accounting support teams in Northern & Southern Europe to ensure that group reporting packages are received timely and contain accurate information.

 

In order to facilitate and support the growth strategy and further accelerate the professionalization of the Finance function, you’ll need to constantly update your technical accounting skills to ensure the best options are chosen and that new IFRS and local GAAP norms are efficiently and timely implemented. In your day-to-day business you’ll continuously work on streamlining and improving the group consolidation and reporting process.

This is a newly created position and will report to the Group Consolidation & Reporting Manager.

 

How will you make it happen?

  • Centrally review reconciliations of all accounts (incl. intercompany) of NE, SE & Manco accounting hubs
  • Centrally coordinating the justification of balance sheet items, while ensuring that all supporting documentation for balances are provided for group accounting purposes
  • Centrally maintain permanent files for group accounting purposes
  • Contribute in conversion of local GAAP accounting per country to IFRS
  • You will be helping preparing accounting papers for implementations of new IFRS norms & acquisition accounting under IFRS
  • Assist in producing the group consolidated financial statements under IFRS
  • Assist external audit process for IFRS Group accounts
  • Work on improving the group consolidation and IFRS reporting process
  • Monitoring evolution of new IFRS norms and training regional teams on group accounting norms & consolidation principles

Requirements

Who are you?  

Background:

  • Certified Accountant (CA, CPA, RA, AA or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years working experience in a Big 4 audit firm (real estate sector would be an advantage)
  • Detailed knowledge IFRS
  • Fast learner in grasping the main differences between Local GAAPs and IFRS
